Welcome to The LVNA Villager Online, the new website for the Lakewood Village Neighborhood Association. The site is brand new as of February 6th, 2010, and most of it is still under construction (pardon our dust!).

Please check back here often to see the new features as they grow. In the coming weeks you can expect to see:

• Neighborhood news

  Check here for news about what is happening in the neighborhood. We'll cover issues like the 49ers stadium and its impact on Lakewood Village in greater detail than you will find elsewhere.

• Lakewood Classified Ads

  Check here to post free "classified" advertisements. Do you have some furniture you don't need? Are you looking for a babysitter? Post a free advertisement here and get responses from you neighbors.

• Village Showcase

  Look here for profiles of local people, businesses and organizations that help make Lakewood Village such a great place to live. We'll have information about the churches in the village (there are at least 4 of them), the schools (at least three of them), the other community based organizations in the area, and the local businesses that serve our neighborhood.

• Government connection

  Check here for ways to contact the LVNA board, the Sunnyvale School District, the Fremont-Union High School district, and the City of Sunnyvale. You will be able to post questions and requests for service here, and get responses.

And that is just the beginning. We expect this website to become even more important to Lakewood Village than the LVNA Villager newsletter. It is designed to be a tool for 2 way communication about the place we all call home. With some hard work and some luck you and I will be able to build this website into something special. I look forward to working with you on this important task.
